Wooden or Plastic Toys?

With the recent problems with toys from China, is it time we thought about buying other toys for our children? There are many toys that are made locally and that use organic products, but of course we pay the cost for this.
There are wooden toys available on the market, but they also are made in China or other countries. So how to check they are not? Check the labels or ask in store, the shop assistants should be able to advise you. Look for local and home-made toys for your child and if you still buy plastic toys, check the recall list often.
